Academic/Leadership/Music Scholarships
These awards are offered for first time students based on ability. Eligibility is determined based on previous GPA, past leadership and music ability. Music tryouts may be arranged with the music instructor(s).

Two-Way Matching Aid (Ohio Churches and MVA)
Up to $2,500 (community students - $1,250) may be awarded per year through this program. For every dollar, up to $125 (community - $62.50) per month for 10 months, provided by the local Ohio SDA church, matching dollars will be awarded by MVA toward a student’s expenses at MVA. Parents can request the application form and submit it to the pastor or church board chair so that approval is received early. The matching dollars are made possible by Ohio churches and MVA alumni and friends who contribute toward the student aid fund.

Work Scholarship Program
The MVA Work/Study program provides an opportunity for students to earn dollars that will be credited to their account. Students may ask family/friends/neighbors to invest in their education by matching the hours the student works each month with a selected dollar amount that will be credited to the student’s account each month. (These contributions are not tax deductible since they are restricted to a specific student account) Pre-made forms are available for students and/or parents who wish to use this approach.

Ohio Conf. Endowment Scholarships- Reaching for Excellence!
Many individuals are committed to helping provide tuition dollars for Adventist Christian education at Mount Vernon Academy. These donors have contributed to several endowments that provide dollars for MVA students. Parents may inquire regarding eligibility through the Development Department. These funds are limited and are available on a first come, first serve basis.
